How long does sterility last after wrapping?

Event-related sterility is the current standard — sterility is maintained until the package is compromised (torn, wet, dropped). Most facilities use 30-day or 6-month shelf-life policies, but the event-related approach is accepted by AAMI and AORN.

Can sterilization wrap be used for hydrogen peroxide sterilization?

Only wraps specifically validated for hydrogen peroxide can be used. Standard steam wrap may interact with hydrogen peroxide and compromise the cycle. Check manufacturer validation before use.

What's the difference between sterilization wrap and pouches?
